Ok, So this next week is a big week for our campuses and we would love your prayer! :)
At uni here, they have a week called O week or orientation week and it is the key time to reach out to new uni students and just talk to lots of people about student life and our mission! So we will be out on our campuses this next week talking to students and hopefully finding more people that would love to be involved with student life!
ACU had their O week this week and it was definitely a praise point! At that campus, there is currently only one person involved in Student Life and he has a huge passion to see his campus turn to Jesus! They went and got so many contacts and will be following up with them this week. They also met a couple Christians that want to help out, so this was so encouraging and definitely a prayer answered by God! :)
We are currently in the middle of a 24 hour prayer time from Sunday night until Monday night praying for the rest of the campuses in Australia and their O Weeks and I wanted to invite you along to pray with us throughout this next week! So, we are just praying that on the campuses we will get many contacts and just have some good conversations. We would love to see these movements just grow for Jesus' Kingdom this year! :)
Again the four campuses we are on are University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, Notre Dame University, and Australia Catholic University. Thank you so much for your prayers! :)

Funny/Random Stories
1. We were at our planning retreat and I was eating dinner on the back porch and a wild wallaby comes up and is sitting next to me, obviously hungry! :) So I tear off a piece of bread from my sandwich and hold it out to him...he jumps over and eats the bread...so I give him some more, this time he missed the food and bit my finger! I learned...1. wallaby's teeth definitely hurt and 2. you probably shouldn't feed wild wildlife australia! :)
2. Also at student planning retreat, we were running to catch the ferry to leave to go back to Sydney. I got to the end of the dock with the kitchen stuff and Keryn (Our leader) told me that the knife in the box was not hers (we catered for the retreat and brought some of our own supplies). So I take the knife out and begin running down the dock to return the knife to the office so we don't leave it on the dock, while running my phone falls out of my pocket in slow motion and into the ocean! Fail. It all happened in slow motion and now the ferry is about to pull out of the dock....I leave my phone in the ocean, the knife on the dock and jump onto the ferry. I learned, 1. Running with knives is dangerous because you might lose your phone to the ocean! :) haha...and 2. God does provide in amazing ways and provided a new phone that afternoon for a discounted price!
3. After retreat I went to New Castle to visit some friends there and I loved New Castle!!! It is a smaller feeling town and has the most amazing beaches!!! We played lots of beach volleyball and just hung out for the weekend...so relaxing, but the funny story is I was going to go learn how to surf with one of my friends....we get to the beach and are playing some volleyball and all of a sudden the alarm goes off and everyone is evacuated out of the water....there is a shark in the water!!!! That could have been me in the water! Well, no one was hurt and the shark swam away! All good, but definitely an adventure to remember! :)
4. When I first got to Sydney, I went shopping for some food and wanted to get some lunch meat for sandwiches. I knew that their system is different then pounds so being the American I am I go up to the counter and questioningly ask for 200 kilograms of ham....well if you know about conversions, 200 kilos is so much meat!!! That is 440 pounds....what I meant to say and as the lady corrected me, I wanted 200 grams of meat....I learned that I definitely need to get conversion factors down before I open my mouth to speak! haha
5. Ok last story, my roommate Jess (Who by the way is absolutely amazing...we have so much fun together from break dancing at night to amazing prayer times together....she is such a blessing)but anyways, Jess lets me borrow her car whenever I need it so I am learning how to drive in the city.....craziness I know....she also has a manual, so I have to shift with my left hand and drive on the left side of the road, but I dropped her off at the airport and was driving back....I ended up taking a wrong turn and Sydney is the most confusing city ever....It was definitely an adventure, but I am learning more and more each time I drive about the new road signs and how to drive in this crazy busy city! :)
But yeah, those are some fun and amusing stories for you, I am sure there will be many more to come!

Student Planning Retreat!
Back to back retreats! It was very tiring, but it was such an amazing week!
First, I want to thank you all for your prayers, this was a great retreat and we definitely saw some amazing things happen this past week! So, for those who do not know, I went on our student planning retreat which is where students from the 4 campuses we are on come together to get training from the missionary team and help develop faith goals and things they want to see God do on their campus for the upcoming year!
So, we had 21 students come, which is awesome! The campuses are growing and it is exciting to see these students passionate and so excited to lead their campuses to Christ! The students worked hard at getting vision for their campus and are so excited to get back to classes and start reaching out!
One very awesome story to share is about 3 chinese students that came...their names are Tu, John, and James and they have been hanging out with Student Life (Campus Crusade) for awhile, but have not made a decision to follow Christ. On retreat, God opened John's heart and John decided he wanted to follow Jesus, which is SO exciting!!!! We received a new brother in Christ and were able to rejoice and celebrate with him! The other two students, were definitely more interested and I would love to ask for prayer for them, that John would continue to develop his relationship with Jesus and that Tu and James would continue to seek and question!
So, that was definitely the highlight for all of us, but it was just such an encouraging retreat seeing students so excited about the Lord and reaching their campus for Christ and even getting vision on how to reach other campuses in Sydney as well! This year is full of amazing faith goals and I am stoked to see what God is going to do through these amazing students! :)
Thanks for all your prayers, this weekend I am off to New Castle to visit some friends and relax, but I will be back to work on Monday! :)

Missionary Planning Retreat!
So, I just got back from our missionary retreat where we planned for this year and what we would like to see God do this next year! It was very exciting and gave me a better vision of what I will be doing!
Our team is on four different Sydney Metro Universities so they each have different places and goals that we want for this next year.
University of Sydney: Teaching the students how to follow up with people better, we would love to see this movement grow and for the students to just deepen their relationships with Jesus!
University of New South Wales: There are only two people who are "key volunteers" so two people that are leaders on this campus....we are going to get bible studies going on this campus and really want other students to step up on the leadership team!
Australian Catholic University: There is one key volunteer on this campus and we are trying to find one more key volunteer to help lead. We would like to start bible studies by the second semester.
University of Notre Dame: This is going to be the university I am working closely with and am so excited about it! There is only one key volunteer/leader, so we really need to have at least one more. There are four girls who are considering stepping up so I am praying that one of them will so that we can have two leaders on that campus. I will be discipling the key volunteers at this campus and helping start bible studies and just really working here to get this movement started!
So yeah, my main focus is at University of Notre Dame and I have also taken over prayer coordinator for our missionary team. I am also helping co-lead the retreat coordinator with another person on my team!
I feel like God really just got me excited for this year to start and this week we are leaving tomorrow for our student planning retreat where the students will get a vision for this next year as well! :)
I just want to thank you all so much though, seriously! I was thinking about this last night and just realized that I would not even be here, I would not be able to be doing this ministry if it wasn't for all of you! I appreciate your financial support and prayers so much and just that you are willing to give so much each month and believe in what I am doing means so much to me, so thank you to each one of you! :)
It has been a great opportunity so far and here are some prayer points for the next couple weeks:
-Student Planning Retreat: The students would come with passionate hearts to serve God and get awesome and clear vision for this year
-Yearn: He is a neighbor of ours and I got to talk to him a couple days ago...he wanted to here about Jesus and is just really searching. Pray for more opportunities to share and that God would soften his heart
-Notre Dame University: One more key volunteer would step up so that they would have 2 leaders and be able to lead together! That this university would be changed by God this year!
Thanks,
Erin
